Game Jam: Breaking the Cycle
This game focuses on a comic writer grappling with writer's block. Players assist the writer in navigating a hospital structured like a loop, where they collect fragments of a childhood story through engaging puzzles. The goal is to spark the writer's imagination by unlocking memories and emotions, ultimately helping them overcome their creative block.
One unique aspect of the game is the mechanics based on a comic page, allowing players to switch between reality and fantasy. This feature enhances the puzzle-solving experience, offering players a dynamic way to unravel the story.
In my role, I collaborated closely with the concept artist to design the user interface (UI) elements and then implemented them into the game engine. Additionally, I contributed to creating the puzzle mini-games that players will interact with throughout their journey.
